Laboratory recommendation for blood tests

Glutathione laboratory test

We recommend having the intracellular glutathione values determined before starting glutathione cell therapy and regularly during therapy. This laboratory monitoring of therapy with Eumetabol® (S-acetyl-glutathione according to Dr. med. Gerhard Ohlenschläger®) serves

  • to find the Eumetabol® dosage that is individually most effective for the patient concerned,
  • to keep the Eumetabol® dosage, and therefore the costs, as low as possible,
  • to demonstrate the increase in intracellular glutathione values and thus make the effects of glutathione cell therapy measurable.

Glutathione values for fatigue treatment are determined in specialised laboratories. As our laboratory recommendation, we refer in particular to RD Laboratorien für biologische Forschung GmbH, headed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Reinhard E. Geiger.

Laboratory information

For years now, the Fatigue Laboratory Prof. Geiger (RD Laboratorien für biologische Forschung GmbH) has offered a test for intracellular glutathione measurement. This test can determine both the content of reduced and oxidised glutathione and their ratio to one another. With this special testing service, the Fatigue Laboratory is a specialist laboratory for glutathione measurement as the basis of exhaustion therapy in tumour fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, other forms of fatigue and burnout.

Further tests

In addition to the glutathione test, the Fatigue Laboratory Prof. Geiger offers measurement of other important laboratory parameters. For the treatment of cancer-related exhaustion and chronic fatigue syndrome, the ATP, vitamin D3, vitamin C, vitamin B12, magnesium and zinc values are of particular interest. These substances are involved indirectly or directly in glutathione synthesis and in the regeneration of reduced glutathione. The dosage of all Eumetabol® infusions is adjusted individually on the basis of the laboratory values obtained.

Glutathione values and other laboratory values are measured on the advice of the Heilpraktiker (state-licensed non-medical practitioner) or doctor, so that the optimal dosage for treatment can be determined.
